Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Ireland. This role will focus on generating new business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, and expanding Pleolight's presence within the residential, commercial, hospitality, and construction sectors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in lighting, electrical products, smart home technology, interiors, or construction sales, combined with a passion for design-led solutions and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across Ireland.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, and electricians.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to project completion.
  • Conduct client consultations and present tailored lighting solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales presentations.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and technical teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Attend industry networking events, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote the Pleolight brand.
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within the lighting industry.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Background in lighting, electrical products, construction, interiors, AV, or smart technology preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project coordination abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with architects, designers, developers, or contractors.
  • Knowledge of LED lighting systems and lighting design principles.
  • Familiarity with smart lighting or home automation systems.
  • An existing network within Ireland's construction, design, or specification sectors.

Pay: €33,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
