Job Summary
The Business Development Coordinator supports the BD team in identifying business opportunities, coordinating sales activities, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring smooth follow-up with potential and existing customers. The role involves sales administration, customer coordination, quotation preparation, reporting, and supporting the BD team in achieving business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support
- Assist the BD team in identifying and following up on new business opportunities.
- Conduct basic market and competitor research to identify potential customers.
- Support preparation of sales proposals, quotations, presentations, and business documents.
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline and customer database.
- Follow up with potential customers on enquiries, quotations, and proposals.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and customer appointments.
Customer Coordination
- Act as a point of contact between customers and internal departments.
- Respond to customer enquiries and ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Transport, and other departments to support customer requirements.
- Monitor customer requests and ensure issues are escalated to the relevant team.
Sales Administration \& Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, quotations, and customer activities.
- Track quotation status and follow up on pending opportunities.
- Assist in preparing sales presentations and management reports.
- Ensure all BD documentation is properly maintained and updated.
Other Responsibilities
- Support the BD Manager and team in daily business development activities.
- Participate in customer visits, networking events, and business meetings when required.
- Support onboarding of new customers and coordinate relevant documentation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Preferably 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales coordination, customer service, or logistics.
- Fresh graduates with good communication and coordination skills may also be considered.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to travel for customer meetings or site visits when required.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, or 3PL is an added advantage.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
Work Location: In person
