Role Profile We have a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join the Finance team as a Business Controls and Process Improvement Accountant at Mediolanum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, maintenance and execution of the Finance control framework, ensuring compliance with Law 262 Compliance program requirements at both local and Group level and Mediolanum’s regulatory requirements.

The role oversees the control testing framework, ensures Finance processes are fully documented with clearly defined risks and controls, and supports key operational processes, procurement, rebates, and SAP system support, alongside finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a strong mix of technical accounting, controls, compliance, and transformation responsibilities and gives a chance for you to have a broad impact across governance, process improvement, and operational effectiveness.

Duties - Maintain and enhance the Finance control framework in line with L262 requirements, ensuring all procedures are documented, current, aligned with local and Group policies, and supported by clearly defined risk and control matrices.

• Develop, manage and maintain the L262 testing framework, embedding the risk and control matrices, performing periodic control testing, and agreeing, tracking and following up on remediation actions.

• Report testing results to local management and Group governance functions, in accordance with agreed schedules.

• Coordinate with the Organisation department on the implementation of Group policies within Finance, ensuring the alignment and roll out of local procedures.

• Support the procurement process from a controls perspective and undertake periodic reviews of procurement activity to ensure compliance with internal policies.

• Manage the end-to-end rebates process, engaging with third-party providers to ensure rebates are accurately calculated and paid over promptly.

• Review and monitor SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) licensing to ensure usage remains within approved authorisation limits.

• Coordinate updates to key Finance governance documents for submission to local management and the Board as required.

• Support Finance transformation and automation initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual processes.

• Leverage technology, including AI tools, to enhance reporting and controls, across the areas of responsibility.

• Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as directed by the Finance Director.

Qualifications \& Experience - Fully qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).

• Experience within financial services (asset management and/or insurance preferred).

• Background in audit, internal controls, compliance, and process improvement.

• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g. L262, Sarbanes Oxley or equivalent).

• Experience developing and documenting procedures and risk \& control matrices.

• Proven experience with data analytics and reporting tools, including Power BI.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar reporting tools would be beneficial.

• Experience in transformational projects is an advantage.
