Business Analyst

CGI Montréal is looking for a Business Analyst to join an IT team and contribute to the structuring, clarification, and tracking of business requirements in an Agile, multi-team environment. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between the business line, Product Owners, the Project Manager, and delivery teams. If you are a structured and detail-oriented professional who can organize work, plan follow-ups, and ensure clear documentation to reduce ambiguity and facilitate solution delivery, CGI offers you an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the success of our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Plan activities, ensure follow-up actions, and coordinate interactions with the business line, Product Owners, and delivery teams.
• Clarify and structure business requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and unambiguous.
• Produce and maintain thorough business documentation in Confluence.
• Map processes and workflows using BPMN, diagrams, and business models.
• Validate stakeholders’ understanding of requirements, identify gaps, and ensure alignment across teams.
• Actively support delivery teams during sprints, validation activities, and testing/UAT phases.
• Participate in defining business rules, data flows, and API integrations with technical teams.
• Contribute to the improvement of delivery practices and team structuring.
• Leverage or recommend AI tools to support business rule clarification and requirements analysis.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Significant experience in business analysis within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to effectively bridge business and technical teams.
• Excellent documentation skills and a high level of rigor in requirements clarification.
• Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and process modeling tools (BPMN, Visio, Draw.io, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of REST APIs, backend integrations, and application architectures.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 60 000$ et 115 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
