Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and strategic Branding Lead to drive the editorial direction, digital storytelling, and brand growth for a leading women-focused media platform. You will lead content strategy across multiple platforms, shaping impactful narratives around women’s empowerment, leadership, lifestyle, and success stories, while managing editorial teams and collaborating with commercial stakeholders to expand audience reach and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead editorial direction and content planning across web, social media, and video platforms.
- Develop compelling storytelling focused on women’s empowerment, achievements, and lifestyle content.
- Manage editors, writers, producers, and content creators to ensure high-quality output.
- Collaborate with commercial teams on content monetisation and branded campaigns.
- Curate and validate profiles of leaders, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and changemakers.
- Maintain strong editorial standards, tone, and brand positioning.
- Implement data-driven strategies using analytics to grow audience engagement.
- Lead special projects including events, awards, interviews, and digital series.
- Build partnerships with media, brands, influencers, and community organisations.
- Strengthen community engagement across digital and on-ground platforms.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media, Marketing, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in editorial leadership, preferably in media, publishing, or advertising environments.
- Strong experience in content strategy, storytelling, and team management.
- Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Experience working with public figures, brands, and community stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of digital trends, social media, video content, SEO, and analytics.
- Creative, confident, and capable of leading and inspiring content teams.
Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
