Biology Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Biology Tutor to help students improve their understanding of biological sciences and achieve academic success. The tutor will provide personalized instruction, support coursework and exam preparation, and create engaging learning experiences that build confidence and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions in biology
• Teach and explain key biology topics, including:
• Cell Biology
• Genetics
• Human Anatomy and Physiology
• Ecology and Evolution
• Microbiology (if applicable)
• Assist students with homework, projects, lab reports, and test preparation
• Develop customized lesson plans and study materials based on student needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Encourage scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and effective study habits
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment
• Communicate with parents, teachers, or academic coordinators when necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of biological sciences and laboratory concepts
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, organization, and adaptability
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in an understandable way

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with high school or college biology curricula
• Experience using online tutoring platforms and educational technology
• Ability to engage students with diverse learning styles
• Strong lesson-planning and time-management skills

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
