Bartender/Manager on Duty

Our newest Pennies location on College St. is seeking an experienced Bartender / Manager on Duty to join our team.

We are looking to grow our team with an experienced bartender who is looking for a busy spot with an iconic patio and great team who works hard, efficiently and enjoys being together at work. Pennies is busy and then really busy - so high volume bar experience is necessary for this role. Previous management experience is not required as we are happy to work with the right person who is ready to grow in the industry and move forward in their career.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional bar service and guest hospitality
• Lead and support front-of-house staff during service
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with Smart Serve, health and safety, and company policies
• Assist with inventory, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting
• Support training and development of team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workplace

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years bartending experience
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Valid Smart Serve Certification
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
