Job Purpose

Bartenders at Volto are performers as much as they are mixologists. This role is about crafting drinks with precision, engaging with guests, and bringing the energy of the bar to life. Every pour, shake, and garnish should reflect the style, flair, and personality that define Volto’s nightlife.

Role Overview

As a Bartender, you’ll prepare cocktails, serve spirits, and recommend drinks that fit the guest’s mood and preferences. You’ll maintain speed and accuracy while keeping interactions fun, confident, and memorable. Behind the bar, you’ll also handle stock rotation, cleanliness, and setup, ensuring the bar is always guest-ready.

Your role isn’t only about drinks – it’s about creating a connection. Whether it’s a quick chat with a guest, a flair move during service, or a recommendation that surprises them, you make the bar more than a counter – you make it an experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails, spirits, and other beverages with speed, precision, and flair.
• Provide guests with recommendations, upselling premium and signature drinks confidently.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and stock levels behind the bar at all times.
• Ensure bar setup and mise en place are complete before service begins.
• Monitor guest behaviour at the bar, supporting a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Handle payments accurately and efficiently, following Volto’s cash handling procedures.
• Work closely with barbacks to maintain smooth operations during service.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations consistently.
• Support the Bar Manager in implementing promotions, events, and beverage activations.
• Represent Volto’s style and energy through personality, service, and presentation.
• Handle guest concerns at the bar with professionalism and efficiency.

Skills \& Personality

Volto Bartenders are charismatic, skilled, and unflappable under pressure. You should have strong cocktail knowledge, excellent guest interaction skills, and the ability to stay sharp even during the busiest hours. Energy, confidence, and flair are as important as precision and consistency.

Qualifications \& Experience

• 2+ years of bartending experience in high-energy venues (lounge, nightlife, or fine dining preferred).
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and mixology techniques.
• Ability to upsell and recommend premium drinks with confidence.
• Formal bartending or mixology training (preferred).

Pay: From BD300.000 per month
