The Coffee District – Athenry

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking Barista / Waitress to join our team at The Coffee District in Athenry.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about great coffee, good food and excellent customer service. You’ll be working in a busy café environment, so we’re looking for someone who is energetic, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Taking customer orders and processing payments
• Preparing and serving coffee, teas and other beverages to a high standard
• Taking food orders and serving food to customers
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming café environment
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Preparing the café for opening and closing
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Restocking supplies and keeping the coffee station and service areas organised
• Working efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a high standard of customer service
• Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the café

The Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
• Previous café, barista or waiting experience is an advantage, but full training can be provided
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work well under pressure in a busy environment
• Has a positive attitude and good attention to detail
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Barista experience and knowledge of coffee is desirable
