Barista Job Description
A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, handling customer orders, operating coffee equipment, and ensuring a positive café experience for customers.
Job Scope / Responsibilities
1. Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards.
2. Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
3. Recommend menu items and provide product knowledge to customers.
4. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the café, workstations, and equipment.
5. Ensure coffee machines and other equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
6. Restock ingredients, supplies, and inventory as needed.
7. Monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisors.
8. Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
9. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
10. Assist in opening and closing duties, including cash handling and daily sales reporting.
11. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient café operations.
12. Support promotional activities and maintain an inviting café environment.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic cash handling and POS system knowledge.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous café or food service experience is an advantage but not required.
Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,800.00 per month
