JOB DESCRIPTION – BARISTA (BRANCH BASED)

ROLE PURPOSE

To ensure consistent preparation of coffee, tea, and cold beverages within the

assigned branch while maintaining bar standards, supporting the service team,

and delivering excellent guest experience.

JOB SUMMARY

The Barista is responsible for preparing beverages according to company

standards, maintaining cleanliness of the bar station, supporting daily

operations, and providing professional service to guests. This role focuses on

beverage execution, hygiene compliance, and teamwork while reporting

operational matters to the Senior Barista or Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION - SENIOR BARISTA

KEY DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Beverage Preparation \& Quality Control

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, tea, and cold beverages according to SOP
• Follow extraction standards and milk texturing guidelines
• Ensure correct drink presentation
• Handle basic beverage-related guest feedback
• Maintain recipe consistency

2. Bar Operations

• Maintain cleanliness of bar station
• Support opening and closing of bar area
• Assist during peak service hours
• Monitor own speed of service
• Keep bar organised at all times

3. Team Support

• Support Senior Barista during service
• Assist new team members when required
• Follow instructions from supervisors
• Reinforce SOP compliance

4. Equipment Care \& Maintenance

• Clean espresso machines and grinders daily
• Handle equipment correctly
• Report faults immediately
• Follow cleaning checklist

5. Inventory \& Cost Awareness

• Monitor milk, beans, syrups, and tea levels
• Minimise wastage
• Support stock counts when required
• Inform supervisor of shortages

6. Guest Experience

• Greet guests professionally
• Explain beverage menu
• Upsell specialty drinks when appropriate
• Maintain positive guest interaction

7. Hygiene, Safety \& Compliance

• Follow grooming standards
• Maintain hygiene at bar
• Handle hot equipment safely
• Comply with food safety standards

• Temperature probes
• POS system
• Bar cleaning equipment

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
