Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be the heart of our café—greeting guests, taking orders, and crafting high-quality coffee and espresso beverages. Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, teas, cold brews, etc.) according to standardized recipes.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing equipment professionally.
- Dial in espresso shots daily to ensure quality and consistency.
- Steam and froth milk to the correct temperature and texture.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to educate customers.
Customer Service
- Greet every customer with a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, answering questions about menu items and allergens.
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Keep the workstations, espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment clean and sanitized.
- Restock supplies (cups, lids, syrups, milk, coffee beans) throughout the shift.
- Perform opening/closing duties, including cleaning the café floor, wiping down tables, and taking out trash.
Teamwork & Support
- Assist with training new baristas on drink recipes and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Communicate low inventory or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
- Experience: 1+ year of barista or food service experience preferred (but not required—we will train the right person!).
- Age: Must be at least 16 years old (or 18 if serving alcohol).
- Certifications: Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

- Speed & Accuracy: Ability to work efficiently during rush hours without sacrificing quality.
- Multitasking: Comfortable taking orders, making drinks, and handling payments simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 30 lbs (bags of beans, milk crates).
- Flexibility: Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: QAR40,000.00 - QAR52,000.00 per year
