Description \& Requirements

Spark NZ

As New Zealand's largest telecommunications and digital services company, Spark's purpose is to help all of New Zealand win big in a digital world. We provide mobile, broadband, and digital services to millions of New Zealanders and thousands of New Zealand businesses.

We operate in an exciting and constantly evolving industry, where the pace of change brings new and unique challenges every day, so we operate using Agile ways of working to allow us to meet the fast-changing needs of our customers. Agile replaces the traditional hierarchical organisational structure to produce a transparent, collaborative environment with highly productive teams who are empowered to deliver better outcomes for our customers, communities, and all of New Zealand.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for an early-career marketer to join our B2B marketing chapter, working on legacy migrations. You'll join a small, friendly team working on several projects at once. This is a hands-on role, so you'll get exposure to campaign delivery, content writing, and data, all while learning from more experienced marketers around you.

A big part of the role will focus on service plan changes. This means helping run campaigns that let business customers know when their plan is changing and supporting them through that change.

This role suits someone with a couple of years' marketing experience. You don't need to know everything already. We're looking for someone keen to learn, with a sharp eye for detail.

Day to day you will be involved in:

  • Supporting and running campaigns across multiple channels that inform customers about upcoming plan changes and what to do next. This is a key focus area for the role
  • Supporting the team with a range of other migration projects - including data centre simplification, migrations and product shutdowns/exits
  • Helping to write simple, clear customer communications
  • Proofing and checking communications before they go out
  • Supporting the team with producing webinars and case studies where needed
  • Working with the analytics team to understand how campaigns are performing
  • Sharing the results with key stakeholders
  • Working closely with other teams and keeping track of multiple projects at once

What experience will you bring?

We're looking for a junior marketer who is organised, detail-focused, and keen to build their marketing career. You'll likely have:

  • A couple of years' marketing experience, ideally with some exposure to B2B, retention, or lifecycle marketing
  • A marketing, communications or business degree
  • Strong attention to detail. This is essential for the role
  • Some experience with direct marketing would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as Salesforce or Marketo is helpful but not essential. We're happy to help you build this
  • Clear writing skills, and the ability to adjust your tone for different audiences
  • Comfortable working with data, and a willingness to learn
  • A genuine interest in telecommunications and technology
  • A team player who's comfortable juggling a few projects at once
