Automotive SEO Specialist - Car Listings Marketplace - Dubai, On-Site
Job Description

We run a UAE online marketplace. We are already the leading site in our category for number plates, and we have just launched a car listings vertical. The job is to take organic search share in UAE car listings away from the established portals within twelve months. One person, one vertical, measured on positions and on organic sessions to listing, model and category pages.

This is not a generalist marketing role. You will not run paid ads, design graphics or manage social accounts. You will own organic search for a listings product end to end.

What you will do

Own organic search for the car listings vertical: rankings, indexation and traffic to model, make, body type and price band pages.

Start with the competition. Pull the UAE car portals apart, find where their architecture and their content are weak, and build against that.

Decide the indexation strategy for filtered and faceted URLs, and defend it with data.

Handle the listing lifecycle: what happens to a URL when the car is sold, and what happens to the links and rankings that URL earned.

Build and maintain Vehicle and Product structured data, internal linking, and the content around the listings.

Report in Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush and Screaming Frog, using URLs, keywords, positions and dates. Not percentages.

What you must bring

At least three years of SEO where you owned the rankings yourself, rather than supervising someone who did.

Work on a listings or e-commerce site with real catalogue depth: thousands of URLs, filters and facets. A single dealership website or a local service business is not this.

Rankings you achieved in the UAE market that we can check: the page, the keyword, the position and the month.

Automotive experience. You should know how buyers in this market actually search for cars.

Daily hands-on use of Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Screaming Frog.

You are in the UAE and can work full time in our Dubai office, Monday to Friday.

Nice to have

Arabic keyword research and metadata writing.

Experience working at, or directly against, a major car classifieds portal.

Python, APIs or your own scripts. We have one backend developer, so anything you can automate yourself is worth a lot here.

The role

Full time, permanent, on site in Business Bay, Dubai. AED 8,000 to 12,000 per month. We arrange the visa.

How to apply

Answer the questions below. They decide, not the CV. We check what you tell us, so give us things we can open and look at. Answers that could have been written about any website in any country will not get a second read.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month

Application Question(s):

  • Where are you currently located, and what is your visa status? If you are outside the UAE, tell us how soon you could be in Dubai.
  • Can you work full-time on-site in our Dubai office, Monday to Friday? Answer yes or no.
  • PROOF. Name one page you ranked in Google for the UAE market in the automotive sector. Give us four things: the exact URL, the exact keyword, the position it reached, and the month. We will check it. If your best UAE result is not automotive, give us that one and say so. If your best automotive result is not UAE, give us that one and say so. Do not send percentages or traffic growth figures. They tell us nothing.
  • A car listings site has filters for make, model, year, price, body type, colour and mileage. Combined, they produce hundreds of thousands of URLs. Which of those URLs do you let Google index, which do you keep out, and how do you decide which is which? Tell us the method you actually use, not the theory.
  • A car is sold and its listing comes down. Over a year that is tens of thousands of dead URLs. What treatment does each one get, and why? And what do you do differently with the ones that had earned links or rankings before the car sold?
  • A used car model page sits at position 24 for a keyword with 3,600 monthly searches. It gets 1,900 impressions and 9 clicks per month. First, state the click-through rate you would expect at position 24. Then name the three things you would change, in the order you would do them.
  • Which UAE car websites have you competed against in Google, and on which specific keyword did you beat one of them? Name the site and the keyword, not just the company. Also tell us whether you can do keyword research and write titles and meta descriptions in Arabic yourself.
