Automation Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Automation Engineer to join our Client Solutions \& Delivery team. This role is key to driving efficiency and scalability across our infrastructure by automating workflows, managing Linux systems, and optimising DevOps pipelines. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools like Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to deliver reliable, secure, and highly available systems.
What You’ll Do
- Linux Administration: Deploy and manage RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu servers; enforce patching and security compliance.
- Automation Scripting: Build Python and Bash scripts for automation, tooling, and integrations.
- Ansible \& AAP: Develop playbooks, roles, and workflows; administer AAP/AWX.
- DevOps \& CI/CD: Manage Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions; implement IaC with Terraform.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and automate AWS/Azure/GCP resources; ensure cost optimisation and compliance.
- Monitoring \& Observability: Configure Prometheus/Grafana dashboards, alerts, and incident reviews.
- Kubernetes \& Containers: Manage EKS/AKS/GKE clusters, Docker workloads, Helm charts.
- VMware Virtualisation: Administer vSphere/vCenter; automate operations with PowerCLI/Ansible/Terraform.
- Database Management: Maintain PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB; automate backups and optimise queries.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Linux Infrastructure, Automation, or DevOps.
- Strong skills in Ansible, Python, Bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to Kubernetes and VMware environments.
- Certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, AWS/Azure/GCP Associate) are a plus.

- Technical: Linux, Python, Bash, Ansible, CI/CD tools, Terraform, Cloud, Prometheus/Grafana, Kubernetes, VMware, Databases.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, organisational skills, and ability to work independently.
- Preferred: Infrastructure automation at scale, CI/CD optimisation, monitoring \& incident response, DevSecOps awareness.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
