We are one of the largest athletics clubs in the country and provide opportunities for all athletes from grass roots to international.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference. Working closely with our Board of Trustees, Executive Management Committee, coaches, staff, volunteers and members, you will help ensure the club operates safely, efficiently and professionally, while supporting its continued growth and development.

What will you be doing?

As Operations Manager, you will be at the heart of the club, making sure it runs brilliantly behind the scenes, so our athletes and coaches can perform at their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting staff, coaches and contractors, including line management of the Executive Administrator.
  • Coordinating meetings of the Executive Management Committee and coaching teams, ensuring actions are followed through.

  • Helping recruit and support the fantastic volunteers who are essential to TBAC.
  • Organising club events, including our annual athlete and coaching awards.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working with a wide range of people. You will ideally have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership and people-management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • A flexible and positive approach – no two days will necessarily be the same.
  • Experience of managing budgets and finances would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and risk assessment would be useful.
  • Experience in sports club or event management would be an advantage.
  • A coaching qualification or background in athletics/sport would be desirable but is not essential.

Why join Team Bath Athletic Club?

This isn’t simply an administration role. It’s an opportunity to become a key part of a thriving athletics community and to have a genuine influence on how the club operates and develops.

You’ll work alongside passionate athletes, coaches, volunteers and club leaders, helping create a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment where people can enjoy athletics, improve their skills and achieve their goals.

The role is initially 21 hours per week, with flexible working and predominantly home-based hours. You will also spend approximately 3–6 hours per week at the Bath Sports Training Village on front-of-house duties, with occasional evening meetings.
