Associate Professor / Full Professor Nursing College

Deliver high-quality didactic lectures, clinical courses, and laboratory and simulation sessions as required.

Provide clinical supervision.

Develop curriculum and programs.

Mentor and advise students.

Participate in faculty governance including serving on Departmental, College, and/or University committees.

Provide professional services to the University and community.

Develop and/or maintain a funded program of research. Maintain an ongoing record of scholarly productivity including publications in internationally recognized journals. Foster and participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams in the College, QU Health Sector and across the University.

Qualifications

A PhD in Nursing from a recognized and accredited university, completed through in-person, on-campus study.

A master’s degree in nursing from a recognized and accredited university, completed through in-person, on-campus study.

Specialty certification is preferred.

Active registered nurse license from home country or country of residency.

Eligibility for an educator license from Qatar's Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), and to be obtained within six months of hiring.

A minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a registered nurse.

A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in an undergraduate nursing program.

Demonstrated clinical and/or teaching experience in the field of specialty.

Experience with competency-based curriculum is preferred.

Experience with next generation NCLEX-RN exam is preferred.

Record of scholarly achievements commensurate with rank. An active or emerging program of research.

Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.

Experience with international accreditation processes and quality assurance.

Experience in academic policies and program assessment.

Ability to advance diversity, equity and inclusion efforts through teaching, research/scholarship and/or service.
