A 5-star luxury hotel is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of a fine dining restaurant with a Pan-Asian cuisine concept . The ideal candidate must have strong luxury hotel experience, excellent leadership skills, and a solid understanding of refined restaurant service, guest engagement, and high-end dining standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and a premium guest experience
- Supervise, train, and motivate the restaurant team to deliver consistent luxury service standards
- Support the execution of fine dining service sequences, table management, guest recognition, and personalized service
- Ensure strong knowledge and presentation of the Pan-Asian cuisine concept, menu items, ingredients, and service style
- Monitor guest satisfaction, handle complaints professionally, and ensure effective service recovery when needed
- Conduct daily briefings, allocate duties, and monitor staff grooming, attendance, and performance
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, hostess team, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, ambience, table setup, and overall presentation in line with luxury hotel standards
- Support upselling initiatives, revenue generation, cost control, inventory, breakage, and wastage management
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health, safety, and hotel operating standards
- Assist with scheduling, training plans, reports, guest feedback analysis, and operational improvements
- Step in to manage restaurant operations in the Restaurant Manager’s absence
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Food \& Beverage operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role
- Must have prior experience in luxury hotels
- Must have experience in fine dining restaurant operations
- Experience with Pan-Asian cuisine concepts is required
- Strong knowledge of luxury restaurant service standards, guest experience, and sequence of service
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Strong guest relations skills with a calm, professional, and solutions-focused approach
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Presentable, confident, detail-oriented, and service-driven
- Flexible to work according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, inventory control, and basic reporting is preferred
