Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced nursing professional to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit.

This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, maintaining patient safety, managing ward operations, staff scheduling, inventory control, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The incumbent will also mentor junior nurses, support staff competency development, and promote continuous improvement in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care and coordinate patient treatment plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with doctors' orders.
  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in daily ward operations, staff rostering, budgeting, and operational reporting.
  • Monitor medication floor stock, crash carts, medical supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including Code Blue, Code Red, and Code Yellow.
  • Mentor and train newly appointed nurses \& healthcare assistant.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, incident investigations, and in-service education.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, patient safety, infection control, and legal requirements.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Committed to delivering safe, patient-centred, and high-quality nursing care.
  • Will be based at Damansara Heights

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
