Main Responsibilities
Subway Masterton is entering an exciting stage if development and we are looking for a dynamic STAR that is highly reliable, has strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude.
Consistent demonstration of high level honesty, integrity, authenticity, self and team awareness is a must for successful applicants.
The Assistant Manager duties include (but are not limited to):
- Complete morning shift duties as per Opening Sheet Duties instore
- Prepare store rosters for Management approval
- Assist in monitoring store operations
- Monitor quality of product \& customer service standards as well as monitoring front of store presentation and outdoor areas.
- Complete Stocktake, WISR, Control Sheet and send after reviewing by the Manager. Adjust Wages Time Sheet for submission to the Manager
- Complete drinks, vegetable and milk orders on the required day and the Countrywide order when manager is away.
- Keep abreast of store costs when completing the WISR and report excesses to the Manager
- Bank store takings when required
- Communicate store operation standards and new processes to staff as required
- Provide training for new employees
- Be available to other staff for instruction on new training techniques if required and for direction \& support
- LEAD BY EXAMPLE IN CONSISTENTLY DELIVERING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE AND POSITIVE TEAM CULTURE BEHAVIOURS
- Report all customer complaints to the Manager and respond to \& take remedial action on all customer complaints if the manager is not available
- Report equipment failure to the manager immediately and generally maintain equipment. Respond efficiently in times of equipment failure if the manager is not available
- Implement \& manage change in an efficient, constructive \& positive way.
- Keep abreast of and maintain required health and safety standards
- Maintain store food, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Maintain your uniform standards including name badge
Other duties may be required as circumstances dictate and are to be discussed with the Manager and agreed to before any implementation.
