Job Summary
1. Local Market Development (New Store Opening / New Competitor Entry)
- Assist in end-to-end local market planning for new store openings, including site validation, catchment analysis, and community profiling (including key local leaders).
- Support localized go-to-market strategies to drive strong awareness, footfall, and sales during pre-opening, launch, and post-opening phases.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Commercial) to ensure store readiness aligned with local customer needs and preferences.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local leaders, councils, institutions, and community groups to support successful store integration.
- Support execution of revenue-generating opportunities through vendor partnerships within institutional groups to drive incremental income and mutual value creation.
2. New Territories Expansion
- Assist in identifying high-potential new territories for business expansion based on demographics, spending power, and accessibility.
- Support market entry strategies tailored to each territory, ensuring alignment with local culture and consumer behavior.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders to facilitate smooth market entry and operations.
3. New Regional Distribution Centre (Gopeng, Perak \& Gebeng, Pahang)
- Assist in developing partnerships with government bodies, local councils, and institutional stakeholders to support DC operations, local procurement, and supply chain efficiency.
- Support initiatives to engage local communities, including employment opportunities and collaborative projects that strengthen brand reputation.
- Facilitate public-private partnerships that enhance DC value, operational excellence, and social impact.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, PR, Media, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in r*etail, FMCG, business development, market expansion, or trade marketing.*
- Experience in new store opening, market expansion, or territory development will be highly advantageous.
- Exposure in working with local authorities, councils, or government-related stakeholdersis an advantage.
- Experience in event setup and on-ground activation, including coordination and execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and professional personality.
- Strong teamwork spirit, able to collaborate effectively across departments and external stakeholders.
- Confident in presentation and public speaking, including engagement with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Willing to travel for site visits, market exploration, and project implementation.
Currently office based Kelana Business Centre, Petaling Jaya (near to Glenmarie LRT station)
Moving to Wisma Segi office at Kampung Melayu Subang, Shah Alam Q4 2026.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
