PainAid is seeking an experienced Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our team on a temporary casual basis from 2 November 2026 to 9 December 2026.

Position Details

• Days: Monday and Wednesday
• Duration: 2 November 2026 – 9 December 2026
• Location: PainAid Clinic
• The successful candidate will be required to work independently within the clinic.

About the Role

This position would suit an experienced AIN who is confident working autonomously within a medical or specialist clinic environment.

The role will involve supporting the medical team with the day-to-day clinical requirements of the practice, including patient preparation, maintaining clinical rooms, assisting with clinical procedures where appropriate, infection-control requirements and general clinical support.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• Be an experienced Assistant in Nursing, preferably with previous experience working in a medical centre, specialist practice or similar clinical environment; or
• Be a second- or third-year nursing student with relevant clinical experience.

Applicants must also demonstrate:

• Previous experience working in a clinical environment
• Ability to work independently and confidently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• A professional and patient-focused approach
• Understanding of infection control and clinical safety requirements
• Reliability and the ability to commit to the full period of employment

Previous clinical experience is essential, as this position involves working independently.
