The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and adaptable Assistant Headteacher-Secondary to join our dedicated team of educators. About You

The Assistant Headteacher- Secondary will create a culture where staff and students are inspired to achieve their potential. They will be a compassionate, values-based leader who champions an inclusive culture; models high levels of professionalism and reflective practice

You will be an educator who is passionate about their profession and seeks continuous improvement. You will have a positive mindset and will always do your very best for students, for parents and for colleagues. You will have strong experience as an Assistant Headteacher with the seconadary school in the UK national curriculum; further experience of international education will be an added advantage.

You will be an excellent communicator who will work well with all members of the community. You will have a strong focus on professional excellence and continuous improvement, and will also participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life.You will be responsible for encouraging and developing further our culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Keen to collaborate and share your expertise, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability and confidence to build strong working relationships. The flexibility and open-mindedness required to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international environment are essential.

About the Role

Our school follows the English national curriculum to IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme post-16. The successful candidate as a coordinator will be able to inspire staff and students of all ages and abilities. Classroom resources are plentiful, and expectations are high for achievement for all students. Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents is essential and is a key part of maximising student progress.
