We are looking for a confident, organized, and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer to join our fashion design and production team. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of fabrics, measurements, and fashion production. She should be proactive, assertive, and comfortable supervising workshop operations and handling administrative tasks.
Production Coordination \& Workshop Supervision
- Coordinate with master cutters, tailors, and handworkers to manage daily production.
- Review customer orders, prepare order invoices with all measurements, customizations, and designer notes, and hand them over to the production team.
- Check fabric and material availability upon receiving orders and prepare purchase lists for unavailable items.
- Oversee daily workshop operations, monitor workers' progress, and ensure production instructions are followed and deadlines are met.
Design Development \& Quality Control
- Assist with new design development by communicating the designer's specifications, references, and instructions to the masters.
- Follow up on new samples, inspect them for accuracy, and coordinate any necessary corrections with the masters.
- Perform final quality checks on completed orders, ensuring garments match the original specifications and are free from damage, stains, defects, missing details, or finishing issues.
Administrative Tasks \& Shipping
- Maintain order records and track production progress.
- Prepare shipping waybills and coordinate shipment arrangements.
- Neatly pack completed orders and prepare them for customer delivery.
- Handle other administrative tasks related to daily workshop operation
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of fashion, fabrics, measurements, and fitting.
- Ability to understand fashion sketches, reference images, and designer instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify production and quality issues.
- Confident, assertive, and comfortable supervising workers, giving instructions, and addressing issues.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Previous experience in a fashion house, atelier, tailoring workshop, or garment production environment is preferred. Freshers can also apply.
- A qualification in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
Training Provided
Training will be provided on our designs, production processes, quality standards, order management, administrative procedures, and shipping waybill preparation.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
