Job Description

Asset Analyst

Location: Horley

Contract: Permanent

About the role

We're growing, and our Asset Adoption \& Operations team is at the heart of that growth.

At Stark, we adopt gas and electricity networks as they are constructed, taking responsibility for the asset data, records, network maintenance and customer services that help keep these assets operating effectively and generating revenue throughout their lifetime.

We're looking for an Asset Analyst to join our growing team and play an important role in ensuring our asset data is accurate, up to date and working effectively across our systems.

You'll receive full training and support to develop your knowledge and become a key part of the team, helping us maintain the data that underpins our growing portfolio while supporting colleagues and customers with queries.

What you'll be doing

As an Asset Analyst, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate asset information and supporting the smooth operation of our network and EV charging assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-class front-line support across our network, charge and zero assets.
  • Maintaining accurate asset data and records, ensuring information is captured and updated within agreed SLAs.
  • Updating network systems as our portfolio grows, including ensuring meter points are correctly registered and included in billing following meter installation.
  • Maintaining our charge systems to ensure live charge points are available for customers and revenue is optimised.
  • Using exception reporting and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies across asset databases and industry registers.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance through system monitoring, reporting and accurate record keeping.
  • Assisting with regular KPI reporting for the senior management team.
  • Responding to customer and internal queries promptly and professionally.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and continually improve our processes.
  • Taking part in regular training and development to build your knowledge and skills.

What we're looking for

You don't need to have extensive experience in asset management or the energy industry. We'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with data, systems and databases.
  • Analytical and naturally curious, with a strong approach to problem solving.
  • Able to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy.
  • Customer-focused, professional and confident when dealing with queries.
  • A strong communicator with a good telephone manner and clear written communication skills.
  • A positive team player who is happy to share knowledge and support colleagues.
  • Able to prioritise effectively and work independently without close supervision.
  • Proactive, with a desire to improve processes and get things right first time.
  • Comfortable learning new systems, processes and ways of working.

Skills \& experience

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with computer systems, databases or data.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build good relationships with customers and colleagues.

Experience within energy, utilities, asset management, data management or a similar environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Why join Stark?

This is a great opportunity to join a growing part of the Stark business and build a career in asset management and operations.

You'll receive training and support from an experienced team, while gaining exposure to network assets, EV charging infrastructure, data management, regulatory requirements and the commercial operation of our growing portfolio.

As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to develop your skills, take on additional responsibility and progress your career.
