Key Responsibilities
- Site Monitoring: Actively patrol and monitor assigned areas to ensure comprehensive safety and security across the premises.
- Surveillance Operations: Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, to identify and deter suspicious or unauthorized activities.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents, assessing situations quickly and taking appropriate, decisive action.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify, report, and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce site rules and regulations firmly and fairly while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Conflict Resolution: Utilize de-escalation techniques to safely manage and resolve tense situations or disputes.
- Emergency Care: Administer basic First Aid and CPR during medical emergencies to ensure the immediate health and safety of individuals on-site.
- Law Enforcement Liaison: Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents or official investigations.
- Thorough Documentation: Draft clear, accurate, and comprehensive daily logs and incident reports for management review.
Qualifications \& Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or higher education is preferred.
- Licensure: A valid state security guard certification or license is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military service is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating standard surveillance technology and CCTV equipment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong conflict management abilities and the capacity to remain highly composed under pressure.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of loss prevention techniques and standard security protocols.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certifications are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong attention to detail.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
Logistics \& Commute
- Ability to Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to Jackson, MS 39213 for this in-person role (Required).
- Ability to Relocate: If not local, you must be able to relocate to the Jackson, MS area prior to your start date (Preferred).
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
