About Format Homes
Format Homes is a South Australian residential building company specialising in
custom and project home construction. We are seeking an Architectural Draftsperson
to support the preparation, coordination and delivery of residential building documentation from concept design through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of residential construction drawings and working documents.
- Development of construction documentation from concept plans, briefs and client requirements.
- Revision of drawings in response to client, consultant, council and certification requirements.
- Coordination of drafting information with internal construction and pre-construction teams.
- Interpretation and application of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
- Preparation and revision of plans, elevations, sections, details and specifications.
- Assistance with the development of display homes and standard home designs.
- Liaison with consultants, certifiers, surveyors and other stakeholders as required.
- Provision of technical drafting support to internal staff.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- An Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building
- Design, Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
- A minimum of four years' drafting experience, including experience preparing
- residential construction documentation and working drawings.
- Proficiency in Revit and experience in AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience producing Australian residential working drawings and
- construction documentation.
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Experience interpreting planning, certification and construction requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time from Format Homes' Flinders Park office.
Desirable Requirements
- • Experience working with South Australian residential projects.
