Role description:

This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines, Romania and India, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.

Arcadis Romania office is seeking an experienced Architect I to join our dynamic Data Center team, contributing to a range of high-profile projects.

Role accountabilities:

• Embrace and demonstrate the Arcadis behavioral framework in your day-to-day work.
• Prioritize your own safety and safety of others by understanding and following the Arcadis Health and Safety Principles.
• Manage and deliver architectural design tasks (Concept to CD), ensuring quality, budget and schedule compliance.
• Develop technically feasible design solutions, including layouts and detailed drawings, using BIM tools.
• Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Structures), including international project leads.
• Capable of working independently to develop and implement technical solutions that align with project objectives
• Support the team with technical drafting and design tools like Revit, while offering creative design ideas and visual presentations.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes, maintaining clear and consistent communications across time zones and cultures.

Qualifications \& Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related equivalent
• minimum of 7 years of experience, with a proven track record in Data Center and mission critical facility design/Industrial, including large-scale campuses and complex, multi-phase developments
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
• Proven capability across all project stages, from concept and test fits through IFC and construction support.
• Strong understanding of data center/industrial facilities planning, typologies, and redundancy concepts, and their architectural implications.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD. Visualization tools are a plus.
• Experience working with international teams and global delivery models - experience working on German projects is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
• Open-mindedness and enthusiasm for contributing to the team’s digital initiative and process automation efforts.
