Job Description

GENERAL MISSION OF THE POSITION

To support the Regional Director in managing DCPC business, key missions:

  • To oversee countries’ marketing strategies of marketing plan in line with the guidelines, business priorities, and strategies of region and the brands, adapt locally whenever necessary.
  • Support adoption and deployment of common digital, marketing & merchandising tools via usage of Group libraries and platforms adapted to the country needs. To foster the automation of data sharing.
  • Lead regional marketing team to facilitate the communication with brands, IBU HQ, and countries and to optimize all the resources in conquering higher market share.
  • Share with International Strategic Partnership (ISP) team relevant information via best practice and regional monthly meeting with IBU HQ to optimize the synergy of overall APAC markets. Be the single point of contact of APAC.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate the country marketing strategy (portfolio, investment, distribution/ development channel, rationalization) in line with global plans from brands, IBU HQ, Consumer Patient Activation and Retail Activation and regional strategic plan.
  • Review regularly marketing plans to ensure the consistency with the defined strategy and support local implementation whenever necessary.
  • Read DCPC market and evolution
  • Kept informed of the local markets in qualitative aspects including market share, evolution, and distribution; also quantitative aspects, including, trends and SWOT of PF brands. Ensure the coverage of market data is relevant to the business scope and be the regional contact of Euromonitor, Nielsen and Kantar in APAC.
  • Communicate any relevant info, i.e. market intelligence with brands and global market research; parallel import from authorized/ unauthorized retailers with countries and IBU HQ Global Retail Lead.
  • Organize business review and practice sharing/return of experience (REX) with IBU HQ team and countries, facilitate info exchange between countries, brands, IBU HQ, Retail Activation, Consumer Patient Activation, global market research. Also support information collection requests from central teams, including brands, IBU HQ, Retail Activation and Consumer Patient Activation.
  • Identify business opportunity/ demand to initiate APAC specific products/ assets whenever necessary.
  • Promote usage of the global digital, marketing, Retail Activation, Consumer Patient Activation, and medical tools toward countries.
  • Draw similarities between markets to optimize the use of tools, assets, claims, and studies.
  • Organize regional events, including congresses, scientific events, press conferences, webinar and others regional events involving multiple countries (excluding country events)
  • Specific Japan: support PFJ to obtain APAC market data also analyze JP market to deploy brand strategy. Attend RF quarterly meeting with distributor and support RF marketing function.
  • Specific Vietnam: Attend Vietnam DCPC monthly & ad hoc meetings with distributor and support Vietnam Export Manager.
  • Team management
  • Guide and develop team members
  • Lead, coordinate actions and keep the team members involved. Ensure team structure is meeting business needs.
  • Assess team members' potential, develop their skills (set objectives, assess performance, training actions, etc.), and contribute to their career development in liaison with the hierarchy and the HR function.
  • Manage regional budget of marketing and travel.
