About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Anaesthetic Technician who is a team player and wants to enhance their skills, solidify their learning, and support their colleagues. We will support you with education, ongoing clinical coaching and the opportunity to work in all theatres including:

  • Trauma and critical care
  • Elective and acute theatres which include gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics and plastics
  • General surgical theatres include colorectal, breast surgery and endoscopic procedures
  • Complex and challenging theatres including cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, maxillofacial, otolaryngology and
  • Paediatric patients from neonates to over 2s and up
  • Much more - including the possibility to work in our cardiac team

Working in a large busy hospital, key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist, deliver and evaluate safe and appropriate care within the delivery of anaesthesia to a patient
  • Provide professional and skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist
  • Work as part of the theatre team, providing top quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia

About you

Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of airway management
  • At least 3 years working as an Anaesthetic Technician (private or public)
  • Experience working with various patient monitoring machines
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour rostered shifts (days, nights and weekends)
  • Must be registered and have an APC with Medical Science Council with no restrictions/supervision requirements
  • Have or be willing to undertake the preceptorship training to work closely with our trainees, new staff and AUT placements
