Join AP Education and Make a Difference
AP Education is seeking compassionate, child-centred Alternative Provision Tutors to support learners across Gloucester from September.
We work with children and young people who require personalised educational support outside of mainstream education. Many of our learners have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, anxiety, school avoidance, or other barriers to learning. Our tutors play a vital role in helping students re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
We are looking for tutors who can deliver English, Maths and other core subjects across Key Stages 1–4, adapting lessons to meet each learner's individual needs.
Each learner typically receives 10–15 hours of tuition per week, and tutors often support multiple learners, building timetables of 10–30 hours per week depending on availability and referrals.
Sessions usually take place between 9:00am and 4:00pm in learners' homes, community venues or other agreed educational settings across Poole.
