Agri Labour Solutions Limited is a specialist horticultural contracting company providing year‑round orchard services to apple growers across Hawke’s Bay. Our work includes machinery operations, orchard development, spraying support, land preparation, and seasonal orchard programmes. We are known for safe work practices, reliable service delivery, and strong relationships with orchard owners.

We are seeking skilled Tractor Driver ( Agri Machine Operator)x 2 to support our expanding operations.

About the Role

This role involves operating a range of agricultural machinery and orchard plant across multiple apple orchard properties. You will support orchard owners with machinery-based tasks throughout the year ( including all seasons)

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating agricultural plant such as tractors, sprayers, mulchers, mowers, forklifts, and bin trailers.
• Conducting orchard ground maintenance including mowing, mulching, weed control, and seasonal machinery work.
• Assisting with orchard development tasks such as land preparation, planting, and block establishment.
• Performing machinery pre‑start checks, basic maintenance, and reporting mechanical issues.
• Following all health \& safety procedures, chemical handling protocols, and orchard owner requirements.
• Working across multiple orchard sites as directed by the Operations Team.
• Supporting seasonal peak activities including harvest logistics and orchard floor preparation.

Skills \& Experience Required

Mandatory

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating agricultural machinery or plant in horticulture, agriculture, or similar land‑based industries.
• NZ driver licence (Class 1 minimum) or Overseas equivalent Licence is also acceptable .
• Proven ability to safely operate and maintain agricultural plant and attachments.
• Experience working on orchards, farms, or similar outdoor environments.
• Ability to follow work plans, safety procedures, and contractor instructions.
• Competence in basic mechanical troubleshooting and daily machinery checks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred

• Experience in apple orchards or other fruit-growing operations.
• Chemical handling or spraying experience
• Forklift or tractor-mounted forklift experience.
