The Agile Project Resource is a permanent, strategic role responsible for providing ongoing network architecture oversight , defining and maintaining the network technology roadmap , leading technical governance , and acting as the primary technical liaison between BSL NZ and DXC .
This role ensures long‑term stability, resilience, and evolution of BSL NZ’s network environment, supporting business growth, security, and Agile delivery through sustained ownership and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
Network Architecture \& Strategy
- Own and continuously evolve the enterprise network architecture , including LAN, WLAN, WAN/SD‑WAN, cloud networking, data centre connectivity, remote access, and network security components
- Define, maintain, and govern network reference architectures, standards, and design patterns
- Develop and maintain a rolling 12–24 month network roadmap , refreshed quarterly
- Provide expert recommendations on technology selection, modernisation, and decommissioning
- Ensure designs align with security, compliance, resilience, and availability requirements
Technical Governance
- Establish and lead network technical governance frameworks , including standards, guardrails, and architecture decision records
- Participate in or chair Architecture Review Boards and network design approvals
- Ensure compliance with approved architectures and manage exceptions and waivers
- Drive firmware, hardware, and platform lifecycle management
- Oversee capacity planning and performance optimisation
Vendor \& Service Provider Management (DXC)
- Act as the primary and enduring technical liaison between BSL NZ and DXC
- Lead network strategy alignment , solution design reviews, and roadmap coordination with DXC
- Own and manage technical escalations , including major incidents and systemic issues
- Ensure clear accountability for service delivery, SLAs, and continuous improvement
- Translate BSL NZ business needs into actionable technical outcomes for DXC
Agile Delivery Enablement
- Work closely with Agile delivery teams to identify and manage network dependencies
- Contribute to epics, features, and stories related to network initiatives
- Ensure network changes are planned, tested, and deployed safely within Agile cadences
- Support squads with architectural guidance to reduce rework and delivery ris
Operational Excellence \& Continuous Improvement
- Drive problem management to eliminate recurring incidents
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, CMDB entries, and runbooks
- Implement and promote automation and standardisation where appropriate
- Produce regular health, risk, and performance reporting for senior stakeholders
- Champion continuous improvement across network operations and governance
Key Relationships
- Internal: CIO, Infrastructure \& Network teams, Architecture, Cyber Security, Cloud \& Platforms, Service Delivery, PMO, Product Owners
- External: DXC architects and service teams, telecommunications providers, hardware and software vendors
Decision Authority
- Approve or recommend network designs and standards within agreed governance
- Recommend strategic investments, vendor solutions, and architectural changes
- Lead and direct technical escalation paths with DXC
Skills \& Experience Required
- 8+ years’ experience in enterprise network engineering and/or architecture
- Proven experience in managed service provider governance and vendor escalation
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, SD‑WAN, wireless, network security, and cloud networking
- Experience operating in Agile delivery environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to provide long‑term ownership of complex technical domains
Desirable
- Industry certifications (e.g. CCNP/CCIE, cloud networking certifications)
- Experience with Zero Trust or SASE architectures
- Exposure to network automation and infrastructure‑as‑code
