After School Assistant -Shountrade Adare

***Previous Childcare experience is a must ***

Unqualified candidates will not be considered.

Afterschool club assistant is required to work mon to fri 1.30pm to 6.00 pm.

Breakfast Club hours also available

Duties include:

• The daily care of the Afterschool aged children.
• Planning and engaging in appropriate activities to facilitate the potential and development of each child
• Creating an environment that is both safe and exciting for the children.
• Working as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written with children, parents and staff alike
• Creating an inclusive environment.
• Following the Aistear curriculum and Siolta standards
• Adhering to and maintaining all company policies and procedures

Requirements for childcare practitioner

• Candidates must hold a minimum of FETAC level 5 qualification in Early years education or equivalent.
• Candidates must have a minimum of one-year experience working in the early years sector.
• Strong work ethic
• Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
• Have good Health and Safety awareness
• Enthusiasm for role
• Be knowledgeable in Aistear and Siolta
• Have experience in planning and carrying out age appropriate curriculum
• Understand and follow TUSLA regulations
• Be naturally warm and respectful towards children and their needs

Pay: €17.00-€18.50 per hour
