Aesthetic Physician (MD) or Nurse Practitioner – Cosmetic Injector

JeunesseMD – Coal Harbour, Vancouver, BC
Part or Full-Time \| Flexible Schedule \| Commission / Production-Based Compensation

JeunesseMD is a physician-led facial plastic surgery and medical aesthetics clinic in Coal Harbour, Vancouver. We are seeking an experienced Aesthetic Physician (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Cosmetic Injector to join our clinical team and provide comprehensive nonsurgical facial aesthetic care alongside our facial plastic surgeon.

This position is intended for an experienced physician or nurse practitioner who is appropriately licensed in British Columbia and comfortable independently assessing, prescribing for, treating and following medical-aesthetic patients within their professional scope of practice, individual competence and applicable regulatory requirements.

We are looking for someone with strong clinical and technical skills who values collaborative, longitudinal patient care. The ideal candidate will work closely with our facial plastic surgeon and aesthetic team to help guide patients through their overall facial aesthetic journey, including nonsurgical treatments, surgical consultation where appropriate, and ongoing maintenance before and after treatment or surgery.

The Role

The Aesthetic Physician or Nurse Practitioner will independently assess and treat medical-aesthetic patients while working as part of an integrated facial aesthetics team.

Treatments may include:

  • Neuromodulators, including Botox®, Dysport®, Nuceiva® and similar products
  • Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers
  • Biostimulatory injectables
  • PRP/PRF and regenerative aesthetic treatments
  • Skin boosters and other injectable treatments
  • Prescription medical skincare
  • Additional evidence-based aesthetic treatments offered by the clinic and appropriate to the practitioner's scope, training and competence

The goal is to provide patients with continuity of care across both nonsurgical and surgical facial aesthetics.

Some patients may be managed entirely with nonsurgical treatment, while others may benefit from surgical consultation or a coordinated combination of surgical and nonsurgical treatments over time.

The successful candidate will work closely with JeunesseMD's facial plastic surgeon to help patients understand the full range of appropriate treatment options and ensure thoughtful, coordinated care rather than isolated treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive aesthetic consultations and facial assessments
  • Obtain and review relevant medical histories and determine treatment candidacy
  • Develop individualized nonsurgical treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and medical-aesthetic treatments within professional scope and regulatory authority
  • Perform neuromodulator, dermal filler and other injectable treatments
  • Provide prescription medical skincare where appropriate
  • Recognize when a patient may benefit from surgical consultation and coordinate care with the facial plastic surgeon
  • Provide complementary nonsurgical treatments for surgical patients where appropriate
  • Participate in long-term maintenance planning following surgical or nonsurgical treatment
  • Educate patients regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, limitations and aftercare
  • Obtain and document informed consent
  • Provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care
  • Recognize and manage complications and adverse events within scope and competence
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
  • Develop strong, long-term patient relationships
  • Collaborate closely with our facial plastic surgeon, aesthetician/laser team, clinic manager and front-office staff
  • Contribute to a coordinated and consistent patient experience across JeunesseMD

Qualifications

Applicants must qualify under one of the following professional pathways:

Physician Applicants

  • Medical degree (MD)
  • Current registration and license in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Appropriate medical-aesthetics education and procedural training
  • Appropriate professional liability protection for the services provided
  • Authorization and competence to independently assess, prescribe and treat patients within the physician's scope of practice

Family physicians with significant medical-aesthetics experience are encouraged to apply.

Nurse Practitioner Applicants

  • Current Nurse Practitioner registration in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Appropriate medical-aesthetics education and additional procedural training
  • Current prescriptive authority and ability to independently assess and treat patients within NP scope of practice
  • Appropriate professional liability coverage for medical-aesthetic services
  • Compliance with applicable BCCNM standards, limits and conditions for prescribing and medical-aesthetic practice

Required for All Applicants

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on cosmetic injecting experience
  • Demonstrated experience with neuromodulators and dermal fillers
  • Formal training appropriate to the injectable treatments being performed
  • Strong knowledge of facial anatomy, vascular anatomy and injectable safety
  • Experience independently assessing aesthetic patients and developing comprehensive treatment plans
  • Competence in recognizing, evaluating and managing injectable complications
  • Current emergency-response and life-support qualifications appropriate to the practitioner's role and services provided
  • Excellent clinical judgment, documentation and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to collaborative and patient-centered care
  • Commitment to maintaining all continuing-education, licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to medical-aesthetic practice

Strong Assets

  • Advanced filler experience, including comprehensive facial assessment and full-face treatment planning
  • Experience with biostimulators, PRP/PRF, skin boosters or regenerative aesthetic treatments
  • Advanced complication-management training
  • Experience working within facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology or a physician-led medical-aesthetics practice
  • Experience caring for patients receiving both surgical and nonsurgical facial aesthetic treatments
  • Experience developing and retaining long-term aesthetic patient relationships
  • An existing professional following or patient base

An established patient following is an advantage but is not required. More important is the ability to build trust with patients, provide excellent longitudinal care and work effectively as part of a collaborative facial aesthetics team.

Any existing patient relationships must be developed and brought to JeunesseMD in accordance with the candidate's professional, ethical and contractual obligations.

Compensation

We are flexible in structuring compensation for the right candidate.

The position is intended to have a strong commission- and production-based component, allowing compensation to increase meaningfully with patient volume and clinical activity.

Commission is uncapped.

Final compensation will depend on experience, availability, expected clinical volume and the compensation structure mutually agreed upon with the successful candidate.

Schedule

Part-time or full-time, with flexible scheduling depending on the candidate.

We are particularly interested in a physician or NP who can establish consistent clinic days and provide independent access to nonsurgical aesthetic care throughout the week, including on days when the facial plastic surgeon may not be in clinic.

As JeunesseMD grows, there will be an opportunity for the position and clinical schedule to expand.

  • Premium new clinic in Coal Harbour
  • Fully equipped treatment rooms
  • Injectable products and clinical supplies
  • Administrative and front-desk support
  • Centralized booking and patient communication
  • Clinic marketing and brand support
  • Cross-referrals between facial plastic surgery, injectables, skincare, laser and other aesthetic services
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Close collaboration with a facial plastic surgeon
  • An integrated environment where surgical and nonsurgical facial aesthetic treatments are planned together
  • Opportunity to establish long-term relationships with patients across multiple stages of their aesthetic care
  • Opportunity to participate in development of new aesthetic services as the clinic grows

Our philosophy emphasizes natural results, patient safety, continuity of care and long-term treatment planning rather than high-volume transactional aesthetics.

We are looking for a physician or nurse practitioner who wants to become an integral part of that care model and work collaboratively with the rest of the JeunesseMD team.
