Advisory Solution Architect - Nutanix Database Service (m/f/d)

The Opportunity

Nutanix is seeking a pre-sales Solution Architect for Nutanix Database Service (NDB) to drive the growth of our Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) portfolio across the EMEA Central region. In this high-impact pre-sales role, you will serve as the premier database subject matter expert within our technical sales organization.

Working closely with account teams, partners, consultants, product managers and engineering groups, you will educate enterprise customers, architect tailored database automation solutions, execute hands-on technical validation, and drive regional sales targets across the region, in pair with a Sales Specialist.

Your Role

• Lead Technical Engagements: Act as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor for Nutanix Database Service (NDB), guiding enterprise customers from initial discovery through technical decision-making.
• Execute Technical Validation: Plan, deploy, configure, and maintain NDB during Proof of Concept (POC) engagements to demonstrate quantifiable business and technical value.
• Architect Enterprise Solutions: Collaborate with field sales, systems engineers, and Nutanix Consulting Services to design scalable database as a service architectures that integrate with existing customer environments and with other Nutanix solutions.
• Drive Product Feedback Loops: Synthesize field learnings, customer feature requests, and regional sales blockers to directly influence Nutanix product management, engineering, and marketing roadmaps.
• Drive adoption of the solution: Work as the trusted advisor of Enterprise customers, to make sure NDB is implemented and used at the full of its features, helping customers to solve their management issues with NDB.
• Thought Leadership \& Community: Establish yourself as a DBaaS expert by participating in internal technical communities, presenting at industry conferences, and publishing reference architectures, blogs, and technical whitepapers.

What You Will Bring* Database Expertise: 5+ years of experience as a DBA, Database Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales Engineer with deep hands-on experience in enterprise database systems (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or other NoSQL/virtualized database solutions). * Cloud \& Modern Infrastructure Knowledge: Good knowledge of major public cloud platforms architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), alongside a strong grasp of data center architecture (virtualisation, storage, networking), modern apps (using Kubernetes) and good knowledge of automation/DevOps practices. * Pre-Sales Track Record: Proven experience driving complex technical sales cycles, running hands-on evaluation deployments, and positioning technical capabilities against enterprise business outcomes. * Communication \& Presentation: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibly present to both technical teams (DBAs, infrastructure leads) and executive decision-makers. * Languages: Native or fluent proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus. * Location \& Mobility: Must be legally based in Germany (remote position) with the willingness and ability to travel across the EMEA Central region for customer meetings, events, and workshops.

Work Arrangement Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
