About the Team The Administration Department at Gunnedah District Health Service plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient patient care. Working collaboratively with clinicians, managers and fellow administration staff, the team ensures patients receive a seamless experience from admission through to discharge. About the Role As an Administration Office, you'll be responsible for coordinating theatre bookings and surgical waitlists while delivering a broad range of administrative services that support the day-to-day operations of the hospital. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive timely and efficient care. Your day may include:* Coordinating theatre bookings and managing surgical waitlists. * Providing high-quality customer service via telephone, email and face-to-face interactions. * Processing EFTPOS payments and maintaining accurate administrative records. * Managing correspondence, filing and general office administration. * Supporting other administration team members during periods of leave or increased workload. * Using a range of computer systems to ensure accurate patient information and administrative processes are maintained.
This is a varied role that requires flexibility, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience in hospital administration, theatre bookings or waitlist management will be highly regarded, however your positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to teamwork are equally important. Essential Requirement* Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel as considered part of the role

What you'll be doing Provide high-quality, efficient, and effective secretarial and administrative support to the managers and staff within the Communicable Diseases, Environmental Health teams and other Health Protection teams as directed.
