Job Description

The Division of Engineering and Environmental Studies is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Courses to be taught may include

  • Operations Research
  • Engineering Economy
  • Data Analytics
  • Engineering Probability and Statistics
  • Engineering Management
  • Design of Experiments

We seek instructors who are adept in student-centered teaching methods, equity-based approaches to pedagogy and experience with digital teaching technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a M/W/F or T/TH on-campus schedule; however, hybrid or online options may be available based on experience and need. Course schedules may include up to 3 courses per semester.
  • Course preparation, delivery, grading, and records management for each course for the full duration of scheduled instruction.
  • Be fully prepared for each class session and enforce academic policy and procedures
  • Comply with institutional rules and regulations.
  • Maintain complete course and student records.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering or closely related field and a minimum of 7 years of professional experience with a Professional Engineering license; OR Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Industrial and Systems Engineering or closely related field.
