Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant / Office Administrator to join our team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm; however, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements, reduced hours, or part-time options for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and administrative duties, including:

  • Inputting of receipt dockets on receipt of stock.
  • Matching of purchase invoices to receipt dockets.
  • File, scan and index invoices to support timely payment processing.
  • Support month end and year end deadlines by ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Regularly deal with customers, including taking phone orders, answering queries, and occasionally following up with regular customers regarding expected orders.
  • Manage ad hoc purchasing of small-quantity stock from a range of online suppliers, using judgement to select suppliers based on price, availability, and lead time.
  • Maintenance of company’s National Fleet Database account.
  • Perform general administrative and ad hoc finance duties as required.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a transactional finance or accounts support role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
  • Highly numerate with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Reliable, efficient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
