Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities

Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions and ensure timely processing of supplier invoices.

Match supplier invoices against Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and Purchase Orders (POs).

Monitor PO pricing, identify variances, and prepare variance reports for management review.

Process and verify staff claims, prepare payment vouchers, and arrange payments.

Prepare bank payments and perform monthly bank reconciliations.

Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely settlement of outstanding invoices.

Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with suppliers.

Liaise with Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment variances.

Prepare AP schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.

Coordinate and maintain audit schedules, including prepayments and fixed asset schedules.

File and maintain invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents in an organized and systematic manner.

Assist in ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience.

Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer literate.

Experience with SYSPRO accounting software will be an added advantage.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
