Long Bay College is a high-performing secondary school seeking a capable and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to join our support team.
This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the school’s financial systems. It has a strong focus on daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards in Xero, along with ownership of Kindo, our online payment platform used by staff and whānau.
About the role
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and clearing accounts in Xero
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
- Ensuring all transactions are correctly coded, authorised, and audit-ready
- Acting as the school’s Kindo lead, including setup, support, and optimisation
- Supporting staff to use Kindo effectively for payments and events
- Assisting with audit preparation and financial administration processes
- Providing occasional cover for reception, student services, or the medical room
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in accounts administration
- Strong reconciliation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting systems
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
- Confidence working with digital platforms and learning new systems
- Clear communication skills and a supportive, team-focused approach

- Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement Grade 4
- Full-time (8.00am–4.00pm, Monday to Friday), 41 weeks per year (term time only, plus one additional week)
