Account Manager (Aroma Molecules), Thailand

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving account growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic account plans aligned with customer business objectives and Symrise’s Aroma Molecules Division capabilities. You will manage key accounts, deliver agreed sales and profit targets and build strong customer relationships through a deep understanding of clients’ decision-making processes, business strategies and brand focus.

The Position:

  • Achieve the agreed sales and margin targets for assigned accounts within the territory by developing and executing strategic account plans for the Aroma Molecules Division
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, acting as the key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Develop and sustain strong, trusted and long-lasting customer relationships to drive partnership growth.
  • Expand account relationships by developing a thorough understanding of key customers’ needs and requirements and proactively proposing tailored solutions to drive new business opportunities.
  • Oversee customer account management including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and managing account receivables.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to meet customer expectations.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints to uphold service excellence and preserve client trust
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities to develop long-lasting client relationships.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and sales forecasts for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support internal teams in strategic decision-making.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute customer visits and promotional activities including scheduling and program arrangements.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 10 years of proven experience driving Aroma Ingredients sales in fast-growth markets.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Preferably experienced in managing accounts within the Flavor \& Fragrance industry or related industries such as but not limited to Chemicals and Food Ingredients companies.
  • Exhibit confidence and strategic foresight in securing new business, with the ability to negotiate deals that achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with aptitude in fostering relationships with professionals across all organizational levels.
  • Proven capability to handle complex scenarios and work independently.
  • Strong commercial acumen with results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong competence in work efficiently in complex, multi-faceted environments.
