About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a mechanically minded Accessories Fitter to join our workshop team.

As an Accessories Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting RAM Equipment's fleet of mine-spec and non-mine-spec light vehicles, service trucks, tippers, forklifts, water carts and equipment trailers.

This is a hands-on position focused on the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of vehicle and equipment components, ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable and ready for operation. You will work closely with our workshop team to complete routine maintenance, fit specialised accessories, carry out repairs and support refurbishment projects across a diverse range of equipment.

Your work will play a key role in delivering compliant, high-quality equipment ready for deployment to site.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of equipment, including:

  • Service trucks
  • Mine-spec \& non-mine-spec light vehicles
  • Tippers
  • Forklifts
  • Water carts
  • Equipment trailers
  • Toolboxes \& service bodies
  • Hydraulic attachments \& systems
  • Vehicle lighting, safety \& communication systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and integrate accessories and equipment to meet client requirements
  • Fit service bodies, toolboxes, storage systems and towing equipment
  • Install lighting systems, reverse cameras, safety equipment and communication systems
  • Fit and maintain hydraulic hoses, fittings and associated components
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair accessories and equipment
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and refurbishment activities
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards, compliance requirements and RAM quality expectations
  • Complete workshop documentation and maintenance records
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

About You

Essential

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on fitting experience
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Strong commitment to safety

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with light commercial, service trucks, trailers or mobile plant
  • Experience in vehicle fit-outs or accessories installation
  • Hydraulic systems experience
  • Forklift Licence
  • White Card
  • Experience in mining, civil or heavy equipment industries
