Join a professional shipboard deck team as an Able Bodied Seaman (AB) on board our fleet of vessels. This role supports safe deck operations, cargo handling, mooring, maintenance, and lookout duties under the direction of the Bosun, Chief Officer, and Master. The AB will contribute to the vessel’s compliance with international and company safety and environmental standards while working as part of a multicultural shipboard crew.
Primary Responsibilities for Able Bodied Seaman - deck operations, maintenance, safety
Required Qualifications - certification, experience, fitness
- Certification as per STCW reg II/5
- STCW endorsements
- Valid Medical certificate
- Minimum 12 months of experience in rank and similar type of vessel..
Preferred Skills - specialized experience, equipment, teamwork
- Experience working on AHTS, supply, tanker, or offshore support vessels, including mooring operations, anchor handling assistance, or deck cargo duties.
- Training in advanced seamanship, rigging, basic crane/derrick operations awareness, or H2S/shore-based safety courses is advantageous.
- Familiarity with maintenance tasks such as painting, metalwork preparation, and preventive upkeep of deck machinery and fittings.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and a positive safety attitude with the ability to follow direction and assist in mentoring less experienced crew.
Work Environment \& Conditions - seafaring life, rotations, safety
- Seagoing position with rotational deployments; assignments may include extended periods onboard with defined on/off rotation schedules.
- Work in offshore, port, and confined-space environments; ability to operate safely around moving machinery, at heights, and during inclement weather when required.
- Must comply with medical fitness standards, vaccinations, and company pre-employment screening requirements.
