Title: AA Au Technician (Atomic Absorption Technician)

Hiring for the following Shifts: Afternoons (3:00pm - 11:00pm) Tuesday to Saturday.

Training will likely be required on the day shift, before moving to regular afternoon shift.

Education Required:

Education Required: Minimum High School and a diploma in any discipline

Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities may include some or all of the following or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the Process Owner.

  • Sample dissolution using the required wet chemical techniques according to QOP
  • Gravimetric testing
  • Prepare reagents for dissolution: General chemical and reagent preparations according to Quality Control Procedures (QCP) when required
  • Complete required logs
  • Operate and maintain AA instruments
  • Email the run data to the appropriate data reviewers to be imported into LIMS/IT Support Site
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping
  • Maintenance and cleanliness of equipment to ensure that it is in working order
  • Ensure all tasks produced with high quality and accuracy
  • Work overtime when required to ensure TAT meets clients’ requirements from receipt
  • Compliance with all safety procedures including handling of all chemicals as per their MSDS
  • Any other tasks as determined by Process Owner/Lab Manager

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills, motivated and pro-active
  • Problem solver, attention to detail and quality driven
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong computer skills in excel
  • Exhibit common sense
  • Good interpersonal skills and reliability
  • Ability to work as a team member, independently and work well unsupervised
  • Ability to handle several tasks at once
  • Willingness to display needed effort to meet company goals of improved TAT and quality
  • Willingness to work overtime if required to complete projects
  • Ability to perform under pressure to achieve turnaround requirement

Note: This job requires working in a Pb use environment.
