Recruitment of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology

We invite applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information Science and Technology,
Hokkaido University as follows.
Assistant Professor (5-year term. Renewal may be possible based on performance review; if renewed, the term shall be
5 years, limited to one renewal.)
Hokkaido University
(Immediately after hiring) Division of Systems Science and Informatics, Faculty of Information Science and Technology
(Scope of change) Location as determined by the University.
(Immediately after hiring) Research fields related to the Division of Systems Science and Informatics, such as (1) control
engineering, geometry processing, and robotics, (2) numerical electromagnetic analysis, power systems, and power
electronics, and (3) social implementation utilizing the studies (1) and (2) above (see also 17. Remarks (5)).
(Scope of change) Duties as determined by the University.
The successful applicant will be requested to teach subjects such as:
Advanced Exercise in System Science and Informatics I and II, and others at the Graduate School of Information Science
and Technology;
System, Control and Electrical Engineering Laboratory I and II, Exercise in System, Control and Electrical Engineering
I and II, and others at the School of Engineering;
and some subjects in the liberal arts course.
(1) PhD at the time of appointment,
(2) Ability to give lectures listed above in Japanese and in English,
(3) Outstanding achievements and publications in the research fields listed above, and
(4) Strong motivation for education, research and other duties related to the management of the Faculty of Information
Science and Technology.

research projects and society contributions). Give additional statements of the JCR impact factor and the number
of citations to each journal paper, as much as possible.

Japanese)
