Education
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration

Experience
  • 5 to 10 years

Responsibilities & Context

1. Strategic Leadership & VisionSet Overall Strategy:

  • Develop and implement the long-term vision and strategy for the company.
  • Business Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, verticals, and regions for expansion.
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation in product offerings, services, and technology to stay competitive.

2. Operations & Management Operational Efficiency:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure that the company runs efficiently.
  • This includes supply chain management, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Technology Integration: Ensure the integration of cutting-edge technologies for an enhanced customer experience, efficient backend processes, and data analytics.
  • Optimize Sales Channels: Optimize online platforms (website, mobile app, marketplaces) and other sales channels.

3. Financial Oversight Budget Management:

  • Manage the company's budget, allocate resources wisely, and ensure profitability.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop strategies to drive sales, optimize pricing models, and increase overall revenue.
  • Funding and Investment: Oversee fundraising efforts, investor relations, and ensure the company has the necessary financial resources for growth.

4. Marketing & Brand Strategy Brand Building:

  • Build and maintain the company's brand identity, ensuring it resonates with target customers.
  • Customer Acquisition: Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics to guide marketing decisions and improve customer experience, conversions, and lifetime value.

5. Customer Experience & Satisfaction Focus on Customer Journey:

  • Lead efforts to ensure a seamless and positive experience for customers at every touchpoint.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that products and services maintain high quality and meet customer expectations.
  • Customer Feedback & Adaptation: Monitor customer feedback, complaints, and reviews to continuously improve products and services.

6. Team Leadership & CultureTeam Building:

  • Hire and lead key management personnel and other senior leadership teams.
  • Foster Company Culture: Create a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented company culture.Employee Development: Invest in training, development, and retention strategies for employees.

7. Data & AnalyticsTrack KPIs:

  • Oversee the identification and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and operational health.
  • Leverage Data for Growth: Use data analytics to identify trends, customer behavior, and insights to guide business decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by using data insights to refine processes and strategies.

8. Supply Chain & Logistics Efficient Fulfillment:

  • Ensure that the company’s logistics and supply chain operations are optimized for speed, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations.

9. Legal & Regulatory Compliance Ensure Compliance:

  • Ensure the company adheres to relevant e-commerce regulations, including data protection laws, consumer rights, and tax regulations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement policies to mitigate risks, including cybersecurity and financial risks.

10. Stakeholder Relations Board & Investors:

  • Regularly update the board of directors and investors on company performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Public Representation: Represent the company in industry events, press releases, and investor meetings.

11. Technology and Platform Management E-commerce Platform Strategy:

  • Ensure the online platform is scalable, secure, and provides a seamless shopping experience.
  • Mobile & Web Optimization: Oversee the optimization of mobile apps and website functionality to ensure a user-friendly and responsive experience.
  • Tech Innovations: Stay ahead of technological advancements like AI, machine learning, or AR/VR that can enhance the business.

12. Mergers & Acquisitions :

  • Evaluate Acquisition Targets: Look for opportunities to acquire other companies or enter into strategic partnerships to fuel growth.
  • M&A Integration: Oversee the integration of acquired businesses or technologies to maximize value.
