Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
  • Professional qualification in CA / CMA will be added advantages.

Experience
  • At least 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Multinational Companies, Garments, Textile, Group of Companies

Responsibilities & Context

Coordinator, Treasury & Taxes is responsible for the accounting and finance functions including the production of periodic financial reports, business analysis and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the reported financial results, and to ensure reports comply with financial reporting standards.

  • Review Bangladesh operation carefully, prepare risk control matrix associate with financial reporting and prepare narrative and update SOXs & internal control process to be in line with other Gildan plant.

  • Prepare Bank reconciliation and review overall transaction in GL vs bank transactions.

  • Prepare all Journal Entries related Bank transactions and guide AP & payroll teams if any record missing from any entity.

  • Coordinate the closing of month end, reviewing that Bank Ledgers, Fund Position verifying all transactions.

  • Periodically conduct internal audit inside the department in order to make sure all documentation in line with SOX compliance.

  • Ensure all GL account code reconcile on time and maintain error free GL.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in all relevant policies and all requisition impacted GL account code properly.

  • Assist all SOX & internal audit conducted by corporate or external parties.

  • Ensure integrity of all expenses related to manufacturing process.

  • Responsible of timely reporting of all monthly accounting, financial and costing information.

  • Provide support to management; explain variances between actual, forecast, budget and standard.

  • Lead annual external and internal audit process on treasury & taxes area.

  • Coordinate all activities related to SOX compliance.

  • Organize, develop, train and coach accounting department personnel.

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, related to local laws regarding to taxes, payments and financial reporting requirements.

  • Ensure monthly physical inventory coordination properly and report on time.

  • Assist all task related to month closing to be done on time and appropriately.

  • Perform any other operation-related function indicated by immediate supervisor.

  • Prepare monthly tax return, Monthly VAT Return, Quarterly Tax return.

  • To assist make the online supplier payment in bank portal.

  • Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Return.
