Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • MBBS with valid BMDC registration
  • Additional qualifications preferred: CCD, DMU, DA, D-Card, MD-Cardiology, MCPS/FCPS/MD-Medicine
  • Experience in health emergency management and leading a large team
Experience
  • At least 10 years
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 40 years
  • Open to both male and female applicants.

Professional Roles

  • Admit and treat moderate to severe cases as per protocol
  • Oversee hospital management following IPC guidelines
  • Refer severe cases to referral hospitals
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with hospital administration, consultants, doctors, nurses, and support staff
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by hospital manage

Responsibilities & Context

Primary Responsibilities

  • The CMO is responsible for ensuring smooth operations and high-quality healthcare services in the hospital, covering various departments, including:
  • Indoor & Outdoor Services
  • Pharmacy & Laboratory
  • Operating Theatre (OT)
  • Radiology (X-ray, USG)
  • Physiotherapy & Dental Services

Clinical & Administrative Duties

  • Oversee and review clinical activities, ensuring they align with hospital goals
  • Participate in hospital assessments and verify departmental reports
  • Support technical health facility supervision visits by senior management, donors, and third-party monitors
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
  • Provide direct patient care on a daily basis
  • Conduct on-the-job training for hospital staff
  • Assist in recruiting consultants, doctors, and nurses, ensuring their needs are met
  • Ensure compliance with WHO and National Health Policy of Bangladesh.
