Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cash Officer to manage cash transactions efficiently and ensure accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate will handle daily cash deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations while maintaining compliance with company policies and banking regulations. This role requires strong numerical skills, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily cash receipts and payments efficiently.

  • Ensure timely deposit of cash to the company’s bank accounts.

  • Maintain adequate cash balance for daily operational needs.

  • Maintain cash books and ledgers with accurate entries.

  • Record all incoming and outgoing transactions in the accounting system.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.

  • Deposit and withdraw cash from company bank accounts as per requirements.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

  • Liaise with banks for any discrepancies, transaction issues, or fund transfers.

  • Process employee reimbursements, supplier payments, and petty cash expenses.

  • Verify and approve cash payments based on company policies.

  • Ensure that all expenses are supported by valid documents and approvals.

  • Assist in preparing cash flow statements and financial summaries.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial laws of Bangladesh.

  • Support audits by providing cash-related documents and reports.

  • Safeguard cash reserves by implementing proper security measures.

  • Monitor transactions to detect any irregularities or fraudulent activities.

  • Report any discrepancies or financial risks to Head of Dept.

  • Provide necessary financial support for business operations.

  • Monitor cash inflow and outflow to ensure smooth operations.

  • Any other tasks assigned by Head of Dept.
